About the Role
Your Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Engaging in Novartis end-to-end supply chain business processes using the Kinaxis platform.
- Gaining a thorough understanding of Master Data and all Novartis SC processes and participating in various transformational programs at the enterprise level to comprehend the impact of Kinaxis Maestro.
- Possessing functional knowledge in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Expiry Planning and Capacity Planning with constraints.
- Having system integration knowledge to connect with other enterprise or stand-alone systems (interfaces, connections, imports, exports).
- Developing a comprehensive development approach that will determine the estimate of cost, time and resources to deploy solutions, all in line with business requirements and solution design.
- Working as Lead software engineer with Enhancement Factory teams, supporting operations teams with Kinaxis expertise or driving as Novartis owner the solution development standards on complex multi-year programs.
- Implementing more complex changes using advanced system solutions where appropriate.
- Supporting NVS IT BA in requirement gathering and working with NVS Architects in solution design activities.
- Governing external solution integration development team in terms of code quality and effort estimates.
- Ensuring the overall user experience is taken into account when designing and deploying new solutions.
- Facilitating the Scrum Master/PM team in effective effort estimation and scoping of projects, considering upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Ensuring consistency and traceability between user requirements, functional specifications and testing & validation. Supporting validation and testing (OQ, PQ, UAT...).
- Ensuring implemented solutions are according to specifications and fit for purpose.
- Supporting Super User training for complex developments.
- Keeping abreast with internal IT systems and documentation requirements, standards (including quality management and IT security).
- Keeping abreast with industry best practices in leveraging technologies for the business and with regulatory environments/requirements if applicable.
- Staying on top of the latest developments in Kinaxis roadmap in terms of algorithms, data model and development standards.
- Actively driving Kinaxis platform management best practices with a system standardization mindset.
- Governing processes, system documentation and solutions in the area of supply chain planning.
- Taking accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures.
- Adhering to best coding practices (authoring notes, Workbook/Worksheet help and comments) and ensuring the team also follows them.
- Assisting in hiring, training and mentoring new team members.
- Upskilling on the latest changes in the Maestro application in terms of authoring and analytics.
- Actively participating in all Sprint ceremonies.
Skills:
- 10+ years in an equivalent IT role, preferably in Supply Chain Planning area.
- 7+ years using Kinaxis Maestro, namely in Authoring, Analytics & Scripting.
- Working experience in the Pharma Industry is preferred.
- Must Possess strong knowledge basic Maestro analytics (Netting, CTP, FLP, Substitutions, Expiry, etc.) and good understanding on advanced offerings like Supply.AI, Production Wheel and CCC is a plus.
- Experience in how to best apply the latest technology such as Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning to advance our Supply Chain and solve complex challenges (e.g., inventory optimization, S&OP simplification, others) is a plus.
- Experience working with Cloud/SaaS applications.
- Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including business requirements definition/process/design, review of functional specifications, development of test plans, testing, user testing, user training and eventual deployment (software release).
- Ability to collaborate within and across companies, cultures, functions and geographies to drive change and action.
- Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology and practices, preferably in a software release planning & execution environment.
- Ability to perform in-depth systems design reviews and provide refined functional and/or technical specifications for modification work, resolve break/fix issues, system enhancements, or new (functional) implementations.
- Effective interpersonal skills to maintain productive relationships with business teams and users who use the Maestro system.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
Certifications:
- Kinaxis Solution Consultant Level 2 or Core Architect Level 1.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP (Optional).
Languages:
- English.
